As the Senior Director, Human Resources you will drive forward the people strategy of the company ensuring the balance between employee experience, risks, and compliance management as well the current and future business needs. During a period of company growth, you will drive the transformation of the HR function and support the business through its evolution.


Responsibilities

  • Under the authority of the Chief Administrative Officer, you will have responsibility for the design, improvement, and implementation of our HR, workforce, and safety strategy for the US including (but not limited to): reward & benefits, diversity & inclusion, people development, recruitment and attraction, and internationality mobility.
  • Working closely with the Airbus US Executive Team, you will act as their strategic HR partner by identifying and researching HR issues and providing insights, analysis, and recommendations that will inform strategic thinking and direction.
  • You will play a key role in articulating and embedding the company's vision, values and behaviors as well as shaping our organizational culture.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to drive decision-making and report on HR performance.
  • Be responsible for the strategic and operational HR leadership ensuring the team has the necessary capacity, capability, systems, and processes in place to provide the business with the required need.
  • Drive the transformation of the people function within the company focusing on enhanced employee experience and strategic business growth
  • Act as the HR site lead for the Merritt Island, Florida site, handling employee relations, and workforce development and act as a liaison with local workforce development agencies.
  • Manage the compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive, fair and in alignment with the organization's values and strategy
  • Oversee the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) strategy and procedures ensuring continued compliance with local EHS legislation and alignment with Airbus Group safety strategy
  • Ensure continued compliance with relevant industrial security, government contracts, and labor laws and uphold the highest levels of ethics and compliance in all activities.
  • Implement and maintain employee wellness and engagement programs focusing on retention of key skill sets.
  • Create and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure consistent and equal treatment of our employees while respecting local legal constraints and working closely with our Airbus counterparts.
  • Provide overall leadership and direction to the HR team, ensuring their continued development and engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system enhancement opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Understand industry trends and regulatory changes related to global compliance and data privacy and the impacts on HR systems and employment practices.
  • Provide forecasting, capacity planning, and other talent metrics to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a HR related field (such as HR, Psychology, Organizational Design, Law, etc)
  • 10+ years of HR experience
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in both HRBP leadership roles and Center of Excellence roles
  • Experience in the definition, creation, and implementation of HR strategies
  • Strong project management experience including change management and HR transformation
  • Data-driven
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in a growing engineering or manufacturing company
  • Experience with Federal contracting or Foreign Ownership, Influence, and Control (FOCI) would be an advantage
  • This position reports to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and manages the HR team of 10.
  • Understand and have experience successfully applying a model of change management; has skills to design, partner with, and advise on large-scale change management efforts.
  • Must have solid communication skills with the ability to develop the trust of business leaders and the support of partners within HR;
  • Approaches problem-solving from a business-first perspective; understands what drives business results
  • Must be strong at cultivating relationships, in particular, with key leaders and high potentials; strategically influencing to shift points of view and prompt action when needed; actively networking within the organization.

Citizenship / Mobility:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Travel may be required up to 20% of the time; current US passport recommended

Security Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance
