Overview

R&P is looking for a logistics professional who wants to join our team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Material Manager ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

Responsibilities

This position supports the Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) for Hull Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Material Management. The position requires demonstrated experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders across the Surface Warfare Enterprise (Systems Commands, Type Commanders, Technical Warrant Holders, Fleet, Defense Logistics Agency, and Original Equipment Manufacturers) to support emergent tasks and seek resolutions to life cycle and sustainment issues.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

    Provide direct program support to the HM&E Material Manager.
  • Conduct analysis of product deliveries and or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes, to maximize material levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, and or minimize cost.
  • Analyze, validate, and present data for cross-organization processes and improvements/Initiatives.
  • Develop point papers, briefings, budget documents and other administrative documents for leadership.
  • Take succinct meeting minutes/notes and track actions to completion.
  • Analyze product support elements (engineering, supply, tech data, maintenance, training, support equipment, etc.) and their impacts on system readiness
  • Execute day to day processes and perform data management applying a combination of material data mining, data modeling, and data analysis to identify high usage/high failure parts, cost/benefit, and or problem analysis utilizing data driven sources.
  • Demonstrate experience utilizing critical thinking solving broad programmatic and logistics issues and implementing strategic plans within and across organizational stakeholders.
  • Participate and support Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and Obsolescence Management IPTs/WGs.
  • Responsible for development of program Plan of Actions and Milestones, identifying critical paths, program risks, and mitigations plans.
  • Compile program level briefs, status reports or special tasking in response to emergent requests for information or resolution of problems utilizing various resources and data analysis.
  • Coordinate and participate in working groups, program development forums, analytical activities and other forums as required to accomplish program requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with the Navy supply system
  • Experience with material data mining and system/data analysis.
  • Computer skills: requires advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Communication skills: must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, and present technical information clearly and succinctly across a variety of communication settings and audience.

The successful candidate will also have knowledge and experience in the following:

  • Proficiency in various Navy supply and sustainment related databases/tools such as: NMD, One Touch, FED Mall, LogiQuest, MRDB, HM&E Online Report, eCANNAB, SMDII, Jupiter, MBPS.
  • Knowledge/Understanding of Class Standard Work Templates (CSWTs).
  • Knowledge/Understanding of the Navy provisioning process, provisioning technical data (PTD), and configuration management.
  • Knowledge/Understanding of the 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements
  • Familiarity with the Planning, Budgeting and Execution, (PB&E) Process to include understanding of Baseline Assessment Memorandum (BAM) process/timeline.
  • Technical or operational background in Surface Navy HM&E systems such as A/C, refrigeration, cranes, davits, compressed air, or helo hangar doors desired

Salary
