Digital Solution Product Manager

The Opportunity:

We're looking for a motivated product manager with the ability to support high-quality software solutions on the Footprint digital product, the platform that serves Recreation.gov and other outdoor recreation management needs.. We operate in an integrated, cross-disciplinary environment - our product managers work alongside software engineers and user experience designers to build modern software solutions that address well-defined user challenges using lean startup and agile methodologies. Product managers are responsible to lead digital solutions through their entire lifecycle, from product discovery, identifying opportunities and pain points within a user journey through solutioning and designing, delivering and driving adoption of the solution. Product managers are utilizing the Footprint vision and strategy, as well as defining success metrics, to drive their prioritization and decision making. Our product team works closely with stakeholders, users and the customer research team to gather and address feedback on function and outcomes. You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in a product-focused business and a track record of driving strategy, customer experience, product capability, and performance management alongside softwareengineering teams

  • 3+ years of experience conducting all phases of product planning, including building roadmaps, establishing release plans, planning individual sprints, decomposing stories into actionable development tickets, and functional testing

  • 3+ years of experience gathering and transforming customer or business needs into actionable product artifacts, such as personas, wireframes, process flows, user stories, information flows, and code-less prototypes

  • 3+ years of experience with the software development lifecycle, from discovery or user research through solutioning, testing, deployment, instrumentation and maintenance

  • Experience gathering and transforming customer or business needs into actionable requirements

  • Experience setting product strategies that align to top-level product vision, and establishing clear metrics

  • Experience delivering software solutions grounded in qualitative and quantitative user data that align to and support product strategy and intended outcomes

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Centered Design, Product Management, or Computer Science in User Experience Design

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with design-thinking concepts, design sprints, outcome-based solutioning, and value-drive Product Management

  • Experience with user or customer research tools, such as Google Analytics, Qualtrics or Medallia, and Hotjar to generate data-driven customer experience insights

  • Experience with Aha.io, Jira, Confluence and Figma

  • Experience coordinating and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to accomplish cross-cutting initiatives

  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary software development teams in an agile environment

  • Knowledge of OKR frameworks

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting to executive leadership and handling sensitive customer escalations

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
