Assurance Technology Corporation (ATC) is a leader in the design, development, delivery and support of advanced RF, Optical, Processing and Power systems key to space, avionics, shipboard and terrestrial operations in support of the US military, NASA, NOAA and the commercial sector.
A Senior Linux/DevOps Engineer/ System Administrator is needed in the Washington, DC area.  This position requires a flexible individual with experience in Linux Engineering, System Administration, and Virtualization through the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
Candidates will design virtualized and Linux solutions based on customer requirements, and provide backend server as well as end-user support including planning and executing deployments, implementing upgrades, patch management, continuous monitoring, and implementing cyber security tools. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team is required. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: customer interface to gather and document requirements, designing, implementing, and testing functional capabilities based on requirements, installing and maintaining virtualized, containerized, and Linux systems in production environments, and system administration including backup, security management, scripting, and account management. Other functions include hardening OS and applications, compliance monitoring with HBSS and ACAS, and network troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications:
 A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or Engineering is required, however current/past work experience may be substituted for a technical degree. 7+ years of experience with Linux System Administration and virtualization, to include Enterprise Linux Distributions (RHEL, CENTOS) and VMWare (or equivalent). Successful candidates must be well-organized, a good communicator, and capable of multi-tasking; must possess strong analytical skills, and be able to work in a team environment.  DoD 8570 compliance is required (IAT Level II or higher) and is a hiring prerequisite for system access.
