Position Title Radiologic Technology Clinical Coordinator
FLSA Exempt
FT/PT Full Time
Hours Per Week 37.5
Work Schedule Monday through Friday with some weekend and evening hours.
Grade F2
Minimum Compensation $73,320
General Responsibilities
The Clinical Coordinator collaborates with faculty, college and agency staff to coordinate all clinical education, instruct didactic material as needed, recruit new clinical affiliates, as well as create, implement and modify all clinical policies and procedures to guide the clinical experience of the Radiologic Technology Program. The clinical coordinator, under the supervision of the Program Chair, is responsible for scheduling, assessing, and arranging the clinical placement that provides the most optimal clinical experience for the students as well as serve the needs of the clinical affiliates. The clinical coordinator will evaluate and ensure clinical education effectiveness through a schedule of regular visits to the clinical education centers throughout Maryland and surrounding states. The clinical coordinator is responsible for the guidance of the clinical instructors and students. The individual must be willing and able to travel nationally on a periodic basis for conferences and seminars.
Work Performed
  • Teaching responsibility of 12-13 credits per semester
  • 5 office hours per week
  • Serve as liaison for communication with clinical agencies
  • Communicate with preceptors in the clinical setting
  • Communicate with program director and department chair the status of student learning experiences
  • Maintain student records
  • Promote health careers at HCC
  • Distribute and summarize surveys
  • Coordinate and evaluate all clinical education activities to ensure students meet the clinical requirements established by AMERICAN REGISTRY OF RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGISTS (ARRT).
  • Orient students to the clinical portion of the RADT program.
  • Instruct RADT program content as needed and instruct pre-clinical lab skills, as needed.
  • Create and implement clinical procedures and policies.
  • Modify any/all policies and procedures to meet the needs of the students, clinical affiliates, and JRCERT.
  • Establish clinical training sites and maintain effective relationships with clinical training facility personnel.
  • Train, coordinate, and supervise the clinical preceptors.
  • Supervise students while on clinical training and conduct assessment of clinical performance.
  • Collect all necessary student documentation required for program completion.
  • Meet weekly with the Program Director to identify and clarify clinical issues.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Minimum Education Required Bachelor's degree
Minimum Number of Years Experience Required 4
Other Knowledge Required
Bachelor's degree in a health related field, preferred
Possess minimum of an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
Certified and in good standing as a Radiologic Technology and Maryland Board of physicians license.
Previous teaching and /or clinical coordination experience in a Radiologic Technology program preferred
Possess minimum of four years employment as a Radiologic Technology (minimum 2 years full time employment).
Recent clinical experience
Multi-Modality certification is strongly preferred.
