Internship - Export Control & Sanctions

Are you ready to become part of the Compliance team within a fast-paced and dynamic Legal & Regulatory Function?
Based in Washington, DC, you will contribute to the overall Export Control and Sanctions compliance effort and help us analyze, interpret and apply complex and ever-changing regulations through your interaction with international stakeholders.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with export control, sanctions laws and regulations (e.g., U.S. ITAR regulations, U.S. EAR, international rules, and sanctions)
- Product classifications and license determinations
- Updating and maintaining U.S. export, sanctions and anti-boycott compliance policies
- Assist with access controls, including coordinating with IT to improve access control processes and procedures
- Contribute to the implementation of new compliance requirements across different business units and functions, including Antenna Registration and the Networking Operation Center and brainstorm news ideas for efficient outcomes
YOUR PROFILE:
Must Have
- Be a current student in or graduate from International Relations, Economics, Law or Political Science disciplines
- Computer literacy (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
- Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset
- Valid work permit for the US
Nice to Have
- Strong interest in international trade, sanctions, policy, space and satellites
- Knowledge of MS Power BI and/or other data visualization software
