Responsibilities

The HR Analytics and Reporting Specialist will play a pivotal role on our HR Reporting and Analytics team as we support HR reporting needs while evolving the function to increasingly focus on advanced analytics projects.

The successful candidate will organize data from multiple corporate systems, test hypotheses, conduct analyses, draw conclusions, and make and communicate recommendations that HR and business leaders will use to make critical talent-related decisions every day. At the same time, the position will play a critical role in building out a reporting infrastructure that is increasingly robust, cross-functional, and broadly targeted.

The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of technical acumen, as well as a strong ability to communicate complex data in a digestible way for senior-level stakeholders. While the work can be delivered remotely, preference will be given to qualified candidates who can occasionally work in-person at our Reston, Virginia office.

Primary Responsibilities:

    Analyzing, interpreting, and deriving insights from talent data using a variety of tools, including Microsoft Excel
  • Designing, building, testing, and deploying custom source-system reports, including in Workday and iCIMS
  • Applying security/access requirements to source-system reports
  • Conducting statistical tests to establish relationships and identify causal drivers (e.g., of attrition)
  • Using time-series analysis, linear regression, machine learning models or other data science tools to predict future outcomes (e.g., hires)
  • Collaboration with HR partners across the full lifecycle of HR analytics and reporting projects, from scoping to execution to insight delivery
  • Consulting with senior stakeholders to understand needs and apply the right reporting or analytics solutions to those needs
  • Conducting data analysis in MS Excel, including the creation and management of complex spreadsheets
  • Support source system-Data Warehouse integrations, including assisting with the validation of dashboards against source system data
  • Assisting in the support of all HR data requests from internal and external stakeholders
  • Owning and managing the quality of data reports and visualizations
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, a Masters Degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with HR/talent data
  • Advanced data analysis and visualization skills using MS Excel
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to own results and demonstrate accountability
  • Proactive orientation - we are looking for someone to actively help grow the impact of the Analytics and Reporting team
  • The highest level of professional integrity and experience handling highly-sensitive data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with inferential statistics and/or data science techniques and tools
  • Workday reporting writing experience
  • Experience with the iCIMS applicant tracking tool

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
