Role description: The Simulation lab assistant is a member of the simulation lab team with hands on involvement to support student learning in the health and healthcare simulation lab environment. Responsibilities include working with healthcare professionals in assisting with the preparing, monitoring and assessing performance of simulation specific lab equipment, and assuring that the lab is ready for teaching scenarios. Additionally, serving as a participant in simulation experiences as needed. Responsibilities include assisting with the technical aspects of health and healthcare simulation and setting up equipment, supporting logistics of moving the teams between rooms to ensure a smooth transition between the simulation experiences. Work with healthcare professionals to assist with supply inventory, clean simulation materials and other duties as assigned Must have good communication skills, work well with teammates and student learners, be self motivated, able to multi-task, and function in a dynamic learning environment. This role will be based at GW's Virginia Science & Technology Campus in Ashburn, Virginia.
Requirements: Must have excellent teamwork, communication and organizational skills. Must be self-directed with the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities on a daily basis.

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
