We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Job Description:
  • As a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist, you will play a vital role in supporting our efforts to assess, monitor, and manage environmental impacts at a federal facility
  • You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to implement strategies for environmental compliance, sustainability, and pollution prevention

  • Conduct environmental assessments, including air quality monitoring, water sampling, and soil analysis
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans to ensure compliance with federal regulations and agency policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on environmental engineering principles and best practices
  • Perform data analysis and prepare reports to communicate findings to stakeholders and regulatory agencies
  • Participate in environmental audits and inspections to evaluate facility operations and identify areas for improvement
  • Stay current on emerging environmental trends, regulations, and technologies to inform decision-making and enhance environmental performance
  • This role is full-time onsite at a federal client site in Arlington, VA
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in environmental engineering or scientific research, preferably in a federal or regulated industry setting
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, including RCRA, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act
  • Ability to Identify and implement environmental program priorities
  • Able to manage multiple projects and ensure all reporting and deliverable deadlines are met
  • Ability to coordinate with individuals and organizations outside of the program to ensure environmental requirements are met across facilities' operations and construction projects
  • Ability to develop technical briefings, reports, and memos to communicate the program requirements
  • Able to prepare reports, presentations, permit applications, design review comments, and update databases
  • Experience in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to ensure facilities remain in compliance with environmental requirements
  • Experience in reviewing construction plans for environmental compliance
  • Experience in multimedia compliance, including air, hazardous waste and chemical inventories, storage tanks, wastewater, stormwater, and soil and groundwater
  • Experience with environmental permitting support and implementation
  • Experience in environmental regulatory compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations for all government-owned and/or operational properties
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, internal teams, and government personnel
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CHMM, REM) are a plus

The salary range for all positions depends on the years and type of experience.
