The Fleet and Safety Coordinator will play a crucial role in furthering the efficiency of the operations in the district service office and continuing our safety culture. This newly developed role will perform responsibilities to advance our teams around customer service, service fulfillment coordination, and administrative functions.

What you will do:

  • No less than 10 Random jobsite inspections per month to ensure proper PPE and LO/TO procedures are followed. Fill out proper paperwork for LO/TO with technicians and send to our EHS team.
  • No less than 15 Van inspections per month, inspect current PPE to ensure the techs PPE is in proper working order. Fill out proper paperwork with the technician and send to our EHS team.
  • Quarterly office safety audits
  • Monthly Warehouse safety inspection including shelving with daily walk throughs to ensure proper safety measures are being followed.
  • Collect Accident reports and any other pertinent information when a company vehicle is involved in an accident/ Schedule and send employee for required drug testing.
  • Perform postpartum job site inspection and gather information if an on the job injury occurs.
  • Maintain adequate stock of PPE as the office so our employees always have access to replacement equipment.
  • Continue education both through internal safety programs and exterior programs to keep up with the requirements of both Daikin and our customers.
  • When required meet with customers at their location to create site specific safety plans.
  • Work with EHS Senior Manager to ensure we remain compliant with OSHA and Daikin Applied.
  • Attend monthly safety meeting held by the Daikin EHS team and report changes to Daikin's Safety direction to the DC management team.
  • Monitor GPS to ensure all vehicles are reporting properly.
  • Assist techs to find areas in their daily driving patterns that are reporting as unsafe events.
  • Discuss these areas and when required visit these sections of roadway to confirm data reported by Holman matches the posted speed.
  • Work with Daikin's fleet manager and Holman to plan for future fleet turn over.
  • Receive new vehicles and ensure all vehicle information has been received by holman(registration, gas card, and telematics information) as well as GPS has been activated and is reporting properly.
  • Coordinated scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fleet vehicles when necessary to ensure all vehicles are well maintained.
  • Create gas pins as required for new techs.
  • Delete old gas pins that are no longer in use.
  • Assist new techs with Holman App and discuss expectations of vehicle maintenance/ upkeep/ driving safety.
  • Keep Holman site up to date with the most current Driver information.

Qualifications:

Must have:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of related experience in MEP service field
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of work experience
  • Experience with Astea or any other service tracking software
