About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Sr. Digital Analyst (Marketing) / Researcher to join us. The Strategy and Experience group at DMI helps clients navigate the demands of modern brands -- how to engage with customers to develop strong, lasting relationships. This manifests in marketing, customer experience and content. DMI is looking for a Sr. Digital Analyst (Marketing) / Researcher to support the research, measurement, reporting, and analytics across our major accounts. We're looking for someone who is able to identify patterns across research and data sets and distill them into findings that inform strategic insights. This candidate is ideally someone who can bring a strong point of view, backed by evidence and who can represent the voice of the customer to internal and client teams.

This is a remote role flexible within EST or CST work hours.

Experience with Google Analytics (preferably GA4) and Google Tag Manager is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    RESEARCH | Designing strong research methodologies that generate findings with high levels of accuracy and confidence that inform strategy and creative direction including primary and secondary research (e.g., syndicated databases, survey design, other qual/quant methods)
    • Establishing strong hypotheses that guide and focus the areas of research and investigation
    • Identify signal from noise to pinpoint key insights and make strategic recommendations
    • identify trends and insights, with the ability to translate those insights into strong recommendations to guide client/agency teams forward
    • Proficiency with SEO / SEM research to inform client SEO recommendations
  • REPORTING | Provide periodic reporting of campaign results for all clients as dictated by individual project needs
    • Create reports to draw conclusions and develop actionable insights
    • Oversee outside vendors and partners (such as database partners, list vendors, etc.) to ensure data integrity for outbound marketing efforts, analysis, and reporting
    • Collaborate with Strategy and Media counterparts to leverage data insights to inform client strategy and creative briefs
  • AUDIENCE DEFINITION | Use research and analytic techniques to extrapolate audience findings that can translate into personas and customer journey maps
    • Construct audience segments that inform the design of audience personas
    • Leverage personas to inform customer journey maps that generate a deeper understanding of audiences, including their needs, challenges, goals, behaviors and attitudes
  • ANALYSIS | Ability to summarize research into compelling and a digestible synthesis for client readouts
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends, patterns, and relationships across complex data sets across a variety of media channels (paid, owned, earned) using analytics tools and models
    • Managing AB/Multivariate testing programs including communication with clients and internal teams to align on testing strategy that lead to optimization of digital assets
  • MEASUREMENT STRATEGY | Communicating complex data analysis through compelling user stories and empowering clients and their leadership to make informed decisions
    • Provide recommendations on metrics and KPI's to inform measurement plans and learning agendas that outline how clients can measure success
    • Vision the holistic acquisition experience from impression to conversion, including developing measurements plans with clients to track success and optimize performance

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 5+ years

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, psychology, sociology or other related field
  • 5+ years professional experience in an analytics role, preferably at an agency in close collaboration with strategy, creative, and media departments
  • B2B experience a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; Skilled presenter
  • Tech-savvy with finger on the pulse of innovation and digital marketing trends, especially new methods of tracking, measurement, and analysis
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficient in research and survey tools: SurveyMonkey, MRI Simmons, Qualtrics, Google Analytics (preferably GA4 knowledge), Google Tag Manager. Knowledge of business intelligence platforms such as Marketing Intelligence Cloud (formerly Datorama), Tableau, or PowerBI a plus

Additional Requirements: The ideal candidate would have the following experience and mindset:

  • Curiosity to learn and explore the client's business to understand what will drive success, especially trends in the category
  • High curiosity to get to the heart of the client problem and how it translates into a human problem we can solve with creative solutions
  • Comfortable having discussions around performance and outcomes (that tie back to business goals), with dexterity in using marketing analytics tools and platforms
  • A deep understanding of how to structure research and analysis to support strategy recommendations
  • Comfortable sharing and shaping forward thinking, innovative insights and ideas with the strategy team
  • Ability to distill and prioritize what's most important from research and data sets in order to guide Creative, Media, and Content
  • Lead client presentations, delivering strategic recommendations with confidence and conviction
