ACARA Solutions and our large defense client in Manassas, VA have a contract-to-direct hire position.

CWL Test and Evaluation Specialist

**Active Secret clearance is required, testing done in a secured area**
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in the Navy as a Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT) or similar (ST, ET, or IT) or Surface Navy.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with AN/BYG-1, AN/BQQ-10, AN/BLQ-10, or Submarine Weapon Launchers, or comparable combat systems.
  • Crafting comprehensive test procedures.
  • Proficiently utilizing electrical measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes.
  • Performing installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems.
  • Assisting in configuring the lab with relevant drawings and port maps.
  • Supporting informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.
  • Employing a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests.
  • Identifying functional issues and proposing effective resolutions.
  • Operating in a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.
  • Developing and analyzing test cases while providing regular progress updates.
  • Reporting to a manager, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the Navy as a Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT) or similar (ST, ET, or IT) or Surface Navy.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with AN/BYG-1, AN/BQQ-10, AN/BLQ-10, or Submarine Weapon Launchers, or comparable combat systems.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Proficiency in software testing and analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
  • Active Secret DoD Clearance
