ACARA Solutions and our client in Manassas, VA have a contract to direct hire position available.

Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

• As a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer for Submarine Information Assurance, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for designing Cybersecurity capabilities for Navy submarines.
• Analyze current systems engineering documentation and processes and work with customers to determine needs.
• Participate in various technical and program meetings every week.
• Work closely with a small group of developers to ensure implementation meets the requirements.
• Derive and assist with generating subsystem-level requirements, Software Requirement Specification (SRS), Interface Requirements Specification (IRS) from Security Controls, Performance Specification (PSPEC), and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documents.

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Cybersecurity Systems

• Master's Degree.
• Agile experience.
• Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
• Creative thinker with the ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
• Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
• Knowledge of Linux and software development/programming
