Locally crafted flowers for fair and honest prices across locations in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Detroit, as well as overnight shipping to most of the Great Lakes region. Named one of Business Insider's Most Inspiring Companies in America.We're looking for a highly organized, resourceful team member who's no stranger to digging in. This internship requires an entrepreneurial spirit. The right candidate for this position will be able to work independently and know when to ask for help. This is a 4-month paid, part-time internship. Some hours can be remote based on projects. Candidates must be able to commit to 20+ hours per week (Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 am-5 pm CST.) This internship will offer learning opportunities in these following areas:

Responsibilities:Responsibilities include assisting the Operations/Production Department on projects and initiatives to establish and improve new and existing operations for different business units, e.g. daily deliveries and shipments, procurement and facility/warehouse/inventory management, and weddings and events. Activities may include but not limited to:
  • Develop standard operating procedures and training materials for operations/production areas
  • Develop process maps and workflows
  • Create and develop employee resources and reference materials
  • Assist with daily and monthly inventory management, including item master and facility and materials clean-out and organization
  • Gather business/user requirements and discovery for technology solution improvements and implementation
  • Assist with development of performance management, key performance indicators (KPIs), operations scorecards and analytical dashboards
  • Investigate discrepancies and issues with budget management and explore cost reduction opportunities
  • Run meetings, documenting minutes, timelines, and action items; following up with deliverable completion and communications
  • Assist with operational logistics to deliver on projects, initiatives, and daily operational activities
  • Other projects and base business support as needed
Qualifications:
  • You are currently pursuing a degree in Operations Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
